There's a whole lot of places those are worth a visit once in a lifetime, if not for all but for the Himachalis . We all know about the famous hill towns of Shimla/Manali/Dalhousie/Dharamshala and if we dig a little deeper we may come out with some less significant but equally famous places like Kufri/Khajjiyar/Manikarn/Rohtang/Lahul&Spiti etc . But my intent here is to pen down introduction about some very rarely known places in Himachal . I will categorise those district wise below.

Hamirpur, Bilaspur and Una : No offense intended but since these three district forms the main plains of Himachal Pradesh I somehow donot find any mountain-ously intimidating attraction in these districts . This is pretty much very personal prespective otherwise we do have couple of quite famous places here like Nainadevi, Govind Sagar , Old Bilaspur Temples (these remain submerged in Govind sagar lake for most part of the year ) , vyas goofa, NIT Hamirpur , etc . But none of these district present that striking prespective of a Himachali life in them thats so closely associated with being situated in the core of the Himalayas . None the less the cultural and religious similarity does exist amongst all the districts in more then one way .
